<p>Last night during the Bosque del Apache workshop with <span class="proflinkWrapper"><span class="proflinkPrefix">+</span><a href="https://plus.google.com/108805430409141907975" class="proflink">Rick Sammon</a></span> and <span class="proflinkWrapper"><span class="proflinkPrefix">+</span><a href="https://plus.google.com/110302348484335966228" class="proflink">Chris Klapheke</a></span>,  I conducted a quick session on night/star photography, and since we are only 44 miles from the Very Large Array here in New Mexico we made a quick trip out there to make a few images.</p>
<p>Here is one of the shots I made there.</p>
<p>This place is just spectacular, beautiful and kinda spooky all at the same time.</p>

<p>These coffins are carved by the elderly before they die. This ritual involves pushing the bodies into the tight spaces of the coffins, and often bones are cracked and broken as the process is completed.<br />After the deceased are put inside these coffins they are then brought to caves high in the cliffs where they join the coffins of other ancestors. <br />The people of Sagada have been doing this for over 2000 years.</p>
